Hi! My name is Mrs. Abigail Ricks, and I teach 6th grade English Language Arts at Lafayette Middle School. Go lions!
A little background about me:
I earned my BA in Art History from Louisiana State University in 2009, and after several years navigating the professional world, gained my teaching certification in 4th-8th grade English. This is my first year teaching, and I am so excited about all of the learning adventures we'll have together from now until May!
Outside of the classroom, my hobbies include cooking, reading, listening to NPR, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying our vibrant community! My husband, Jordan and I live here in Lafayette with our precious 1.5 year-old daughter, Grace and our two pups, Roux and Raisin.
